SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Welcome to the scholarship application. The scholarship is named in the honor of our founder’s parents, i.e., The Gregory, Sr. & Betty Elaine Bush Scholarship Fund.

The application for the 2025 Scholarship is now open and closes on May 23, 2025.

Applicants must plan to pursue a degree with a focus in science, technology, engineering, arts or math careers. The scholarship is for male and female African American graduating high school seniors from the greater Chicagoland area with at least a 3.00 GPA. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Illinois. Applicants must be involved in their community and school. The “Anticipated Major Field(s) of Study” that you submit to the scholarship review Board must be the same as the field of study on your college acceptance letter. We seek to review applications and award scholars from majors from all S.T.E.A.M. areas of study. Conformance to the scholarship criteria will be validated via the letters of reference, high school transcripts, college acceptance letter and the applicant’s essay.

Scholarships will be presented at the Greg Bush, Jr. Foundation Celebration in July of 2025. (Celebration date is subject to change.) All awardees must submit proof of college admission and registration to the scholarship committee upon notification that you will be awarded the scholarship.

Please note:

Arts in S.T.E.A.M. are not limited to traditional fine arts. ARTS include, but are not limited to Performing Arts, Computer Generated Arts, Computer Animation and Special Effects, Game Design, Film and Sound Engineering.
